Filing Russian and Eurasian patent applications
Patents could be obtained in Russia under the Russian Patent Law and Eurasian Patent Convention.
If you want to obtain patents in more than two countries of the former USSR it is advisable to file a Eurasian application.
To file a patent application we will need the following documents:
- Full text of specification, drawings and claims;
- Certified copy of priority application(s) if Convention priority is claimed;
- Abstract;
- Duly executed Power of Attorney.
No statement of inventorship is needed.
In case of emergency (for example, if only several days are left for claiming Convention priority) we may file just the Request form with the main data on the application. The other documents could be submitted within two months of the filing date.
