Eurasian or National Patent Procedures?
In accordance with the Eurasian Patent Convention for initiation of the Regional Phase in EAPO it is necessary prior to expiration of the 31 month term from the earliest priority date to do the following:
- 1. Pay the unified procedural fee for filing the application in the amount of US $ 800 and US $ 70 for each claim in excess of 5;
- 2. File the request for conducting substantive examination and pay the fee in the amount of US $ 800 or US $ 800 + 600 if the application refers to a group of inventions;
- 3. File translation of the materials of the application into Russian with amendments made on the stage of the International Preliminary Examination.
Attorney fees for filing Eurasian patent application make up from US$600 to US$900, expenses for translation specification and claims for an application for a group of inventions will make up at least US $ 1000.
